I wouldn’t use the word ‘protesting’ when it came to the CPUT student rage. This was done out of anger, so the word that is currently used, is ‘strike”. Those students were rather way out of control, trying to destroy the campus with other people that are not even CPUT students.
The manner in which they striked, was totally uncalled for, they were full of rage. Being a student myself, one can only imagine where they coming from. With all this, one can only begin to have a paradigm shift. Students have needs and it differs from one another, but that doesn’t mean you have to perform like a wild animal on a leash, trying to break free, kill and eat the closest prey.
Placing bombs outside the commerce buildings, what’s up with that? Terror attacks in the Mother City as well? CPUT management needs to wake up and smell Jacobs if they want to be a step ahead. Innocent students’ lives were at stake due to the animal behavior of these protestors that were simply out of control.
This is what happens if management don’t listen to students needs from day one, so management what do you plan to do?
